Ingredients
  

  • 3 medium ripe bananas
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter melted and cooled
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, mash the bananas.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix egg, sugar, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine wet ingredients with mashed bananas.
  • Gradually fold dry ingredients into the banana mixture.
  • Gently stir in chopped walnuts if using.
  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use overripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness.
  • For a healthier version, substitute half the flour with whole wheat flour.
  • Store at room temperature for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
